makeover with the help of Clarity Design.
It's been a long while since we received a challenge like Constantine Art. From the beginning of the
project we were working on a construction basis only, we were being led by design.
The website design was produced by Gareth at Beeson + Beeson. James Blachford owner of Clarity Design received an
email from LinkedIn (the social networking site for business) from Gareth Beeson whom he went to school
with almost 16 years ago.
After a brief phone conversation, the next stage was to met up and go through the brief, it was
extensive and very accurate. Our job now was to turn some very nice designs into a functioning database
driven, client managed website.
Our first task was to work on the tougher parts of the site, creating a simple to use
client interface, the customer had used other content management systems before and was struggling to
understand how everything worked. With this in mind we laid the management area out to match the website,
everything we built from the ground upward and hand coded.
After the content management system was completed we then turned to the more difficult scripting, such as
the image reflection on database images and creating thumbnails from larger images whilst maintaining the
image clarity.
With a lot of tinkering and hard work, we managed to create a website that looked identical to the
visuals provided to the client. So both Constantine and Beeson + Beeson were very happy with the end
results.
This proves that social networking does work and that strong business relationships can be built from it.
